I am a big Sacred Steel fan and am very thankfull for all of the work you have done to help bring that music out into the world.
I just put on 2 shows with the Campbells here in N.O. this past weekend. What a beautiful experience. I had met them, interviewed them and jammed a little with them before, but this was the first time I actually got a chance to work with the Campbells. Unreal! The nicest people, and the most incredible music. Got Dave Easley to jam with them too and had an all-star N.O. horn section and guest/background vocalists. What a sound. And to think, from our little neighborhood bar in Algiers Point to Carnegie Hall...wish I could see them at Carnegie.
Anyhoo, I am also a DJ on WWOZ fm here (have played lots of the SS stuff you were involved in putting out) and a columnist for OffBeat magazine. I would be honored to meet you or get in touch. love the work you have done.
