There are lots of quality reproductions available. Other Forum members know alot more about them than I. _________________ "I am certain of nothing", Anthony Bourdain

Unfortunately Michael is right. They do show up on eBay once on a while, but they don't go cheap. I needed a pair for my ES-300, with the help of a machinist friend I was going to try to make a pair out of 1" acrylic bar stock. Luckily I found an original pair and didn't continue with the fabrication attempt, but I still think it could be done. |

I'm a vintage dealer and finding parts is a constant task. The tall clear Gibbie knobs do come up for sale every now and then. You just have to be on the constant lookout for them. EBay is a source, of course, but guitar shows can yield results, too. Based on my experience I think "hundreds of dollars" might be a little on the high end but they will cost you.
The last time I needed one of those knobs was to bring an ES150 up to 100%. I found the single knob at a show in the bottom of aarts bin and paid $35 for it. When I put it on the guitar it was then back to all-original and it's value went up more than $35.
You'll find it. Just keep looking and don't give up. |

Are you trying to replace the exact knobs posted in the photo by Michael Holland? The BR-1 and BR-3 and BR-4 used only the tall clear barrel knobs as in his photo. The BR-2 and BR-6, which were produced over a long period of time used the same Gibson knobs as all Gibson ES models of any era. |
