Rains Guitars are definitely up and running. Curtis is building guitars that are on order. The best way to reach him is through the email address. Curtis works a full time job as well so he is really busy. The guitars are built in a very timely manner. That being said the Carp guitar has been discontinued.

I'm going into my second week with my "pre-owned" Rains SD-10 & was in contact with both Gary & Curtis the day after i got her home...They sure didnt mind takin time to get acquainted and talkin steel. Curtis got my email late Friday and my phone was ringin Saturday morning to see how he could help me.They seem to really want to take care of Rains players.Like any "pre-owned",it's taking some time to get it adjusted to me but i can tell you,i've just been amazed @ the tone.Beautiful low end & i cant put into words the mids, nice clear highs...just great all the way across for me.i played with some guys the other night that were pretty loud and this guitar was able to get aggresive, for lack of a better word, and rock out on Friday night & sound sweet as can be @ our church service Sunday morning.it's a 2006 model...very happy with this guitar.
