In one corner - Mother Nature. And in the other three corners - the Siloam Springs Steel Guitar Club. Now LET'S GET READY TO RUUUUUUUMMMMBLE!

It's less than two weeks until the Siloam Springs SGC Convention. I would like for everyone who can possibly make it to join me at this show. In the aftermath of Mother Nature's tornados we all need a break, some time to just sit back and enjoy good music and good friends (old and new).

Roger and the boys in Arkansas have pulled together a great line up of players that will show Mother Nature how to really raise a roof. Let's take a look:

Terry Bethel
David Wright
Buck Grantham
Keith Hilton
Fred Justice
Scott Henderson
Jerry Newberry & Austin Stewart

And that's just a few, there will be 20 more players gracing the stage. A show you don't want to miss.

So, mark your calendars and get ready for April 22 & 23 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. And if you're into the prefight, we'll be tailgating Friday night (4/21). Feel free to bring your rig (steel, fiddle, guitar, bass, scrub board, accordian, spoons, vocals, or whatever you can make noise with) and let's get this party started!

Admission to the show is free but there will be a bucket at the door for your worries. So come on out.

See you all there!

Mornin' Miss Lana......good list. Let me add names like Jerry Roller, Tim McCutchen, Vance Monday, and (I hear) Dave Musgrave is showing up with big Dewayne Bowman. Folks, this is the best lineup I've seen in a long while. Again, mark your calendar and don't miss this great show, held in the most awesome facility.

David, be gentle, the seats at the ABA are not designed as a flotation device!

Wow, just thinking about the line up and I'm all giddy. It's going to be tough focusing on my day job knowing what I'm gonna hear in less than 2 weeks! Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!

See ya soon.

I've called Dave Musgrave and he's coming to play on Sunday afternoon. It's a treat just to be in the same room with Dave.I love to set and listen to him tell stories. He's a jewel.
Also yesterday I received an e-mail from Vance Monday stating that he will be out of town during our convention. We'll miss ole' Vance.

Miss Lana,

Are you still going to pick me up in Branson and drive me to Siloam Springs?
On second thought, with all the trouble you have had with other vehicles wanting to see what color primer paint you have on your car, Come to Branson and ride with me to Siloam Springs.
I see on another post that Dave Musgrave, the president of the Ozark Steel Guitar Association is going to be in Siloam Sunday, along with Duane Bowman. I love Duanes singing soooooooo much, Dave had better play real good or I might just cut his strings off his steel guitar and play my steel with Duane.

Any how, see you Saturday girl,

Instead of Driving Miss Daisy it's Driving Miss Lana. HA! Brings new meaning to sharing the road.

Better be ready Friday afternoon when I get there. And tell Kenny to have his jokes ready. I'll bring the Chex Mix you get the pop.

See you soon.

Terry, if I decide to play the old Ray Price tune--"I just Destroyed The Van I've Been Living In." Could you hum a line of it to get me started?

I hope all those girl friends of Bill Myrick, from Rogers,Arkansas don't follow him to Siloam Springs again this year. While at the Show his girl friends made a mess upstairs shaving. I hear rumors there is a hot steel player coming to the Show who goes by the name "KID COUNTRY".

Well Bill, that would work but Keith would probably charge you double on grounds of suspicion - HA! Try this way - Hey Keith, you got that CD they're playing on SteelRadio with you? I wanna buy a copy.

Now, what's this about girlfriends that leave a mess shaving...

Bill, the pedal with the red blinking light went to Jerry Fessenden, who builds Fessenden guitars. I think he then sold it to someone. I found out my old Sho Bud guitar went to Japan. Bill, I am planning on a surprise for you in Siloam Springs.
