A BIG thank you to all the players and a BIG Thank You to Betty and Harold Russell, theatre owners/managers for donating the use of the Fiske Theatre for the Ark-La-Miss steel guitar Spring Fling. Thanks to Country Jack Harper for his great MC work and efforts in putting the show together. Steelers present were Lavelle Pierce, Bill Henderson, Carlou Bordelon, Charlie Moore, Jimmy Lewis, Hal Higgins, Eddie Baker, Andy Hinton,Ken Rollans and Terry Sneed, great job
and a good show. Andy Hinton said when he left "man I am wore out" I got to play Andy's Git fiddle a little while, a great instrument. Also Happy Birthday to Lavelle Pierce, Lavelle spent a couple nihts at my place and we had some fun although we had to dodge some tornado's
Thanks to the backup pickers and singers and the steelers for swapping up on drums, keyboard and bass. All did a good job and I sure don't want to leave anyone out. It was a special time and a fun time. No strangers there. A special "ATTABOY" to Floyd Arbuckle for his great guitar work. So to all, thanks and remember the June steel show is 1st Sat in June. If I left anyone out let me know sometimes I have "Senior Moments" and miss a few things.

Yea Billy we had a good time. You northern boys really know how to treat us southern boys!! You had a great line up of players, I thouhgt, and the guy playing lead standin over there by me (cant never remember his name) I could play with him all night. Man he is smooth! And how about my boy Jimmy Lewis, he can play the fire out of a guitar or a steel. That's my boy. I am looking forward to the next time y'all have an awesome show. You must come to mine-dont forget.
