I hope this link works. I had the opportunity to experiment with a hip hop producer in Houston and this is just a taste.

Cody,
I may be in the minority here, but I'm very interested in something like this. As odd a pairing as it seems, I've always been curious to hear the two together. I actually think there was some sort of steel or slide guitar on a couple of tracks from Schoolboy Q's Habits and Contradictions album last year that I really enjoyed. Looking forward to seeing where this goes from here. Thanks |

Excellent idea, Cody, the pedal steel guitar is such a marvelous musical instrument that there's really no limit to how it might be used, look a Mr. Randolph, sounding like Mr. Hendrix and all.... |

I get to play non-pedal steel on a hip hop/rap song that one of the bands I play with calls occasionally. I play a combination of ambient sound/never ending solo stuff behind it sometimes clean, other times distorted or with chorusing. I'm way to much of a hillbillyto make a steady diet of it but now and then, it's fun! _________________ www.facebook.com/speedingwest
