Radio Shack use to sell something like very super heavy duty industrial velcro. It was not the stuff on a roll. This stuff came in small sheets and you cut it to size. You almost had to pound it together but it hold very well. My local Radio Shack does not carry it any longer. Does anyone know what this stuff was called and where I might find some. Thanks.

I use Industrial Strength Velcro 4'X 2" strips in a blue box with a yellow top. The last I got was at Lowes, but I think it is also sold at Home Depot.

They also make a super heavy duty "click & lock" material to hold toll transponders (EZPass) to windshields. Some times you can find it where they issue transponders, truck stops, or big box home stores.

One of the problems with Velcro, is the adheasive is effected by heat and will slip or give way. 3M Dual Lock claimes to have solved this problem. I will try it..

That's it, Dick. I've used it to attach several toll transponders in my cars here in NJ. It only comes off the glass with a razor blade.

I know the guys at the iTape store. Nice people.

Glen, have you used the low profile version. I have wondered why the pads on SD10s couldn't be put on with Velcro(and now this material), and of course what the effects of that on the sound would be. But removing it with a razor knife might be a problem.

That's the stuff I'm looking for. I'll have to check the Radio Shack part numbers. Local RS did not have it. This is good stuff to have on hand for around the house.
