Sid and his father, Jim, were in my shop today for some set up changes, great people and Sid is a wonderful musician. Always amazed at his fast single string playing.

Pops is a HOOT! he's still so proud of his youngin's picking - which will blow your mind. i'll never forget the first time i saw Sid play, never meeting him before, its a mind-blower to see him rip thru Cherokee faster than you can imagine.

they are great folks - i hope Sid has his VA jam again this year - there are SO MANY good pickers up there.

Thank you for the compliments Billy and Jerome. (You need to get out of the house a little more often)
Also thank you for doing a wonderful job setting up my new toy Billy. You are great at what you do.

If I knew you were taking pictures I would have sucked my Belly in a little and combed my hair.

I discovered something tonight!

Pop has been having trouble keeping his finger picks on when he plays.
I have been telling Pop for some time now to spray some extra hold hairspray on his finger tips before he puts his picks on. We wear them on the very tips of our fingers.
(we were Buddy Charleton Fans)

We tried it tonight and it work fantastic! I will be carrying a can of hairspray in my seat for now on.

(Hope I don’t get any strange looks).

Here's a hint for you Sid:
Always comb hair prior to applying hairspray ! Can't afford further hair loss at our age.
Oh, and I tried the pills but I'm still using a plectrum - any other things to try ?

I sure like the looks of that new Steel Guitar Sid. Say Hi to Pop for Anna and I and Anna just seen him and said that's my buddy. HUM I wonder what has been going on when I was busy running the Clayton N.C. Jams.He is a great guy and we like him. Jerome yes the First time you met Sid was at My Steel Guitar Jam in Clayton N.C. and every one just sat there with their mouths open and their eyes popping out of their heads.I enjoyed his playing and I really enjoyed both his and Ricky Hagen's fast picking together. That was a show by it's self.Every one don't for get Sid Hudson's live Steel Strings. I put a set on my steel and I'm not that good a steel player butI could hear a diffrents in the tone. Ray Walker would have loved to hear me say that as I could not hear the cord changes but I heard the differen,s in those strings.
