Just noticed on craigs list…northern NJ an early 50's d8 8pedal guitar for $1500.

That is a Fender Model 1000 which
wasn't introduced until 1957

Yes, 1960s. It has the narrow pedals, and it appears to have the "string mutes", and a 60s Fender logo on the front.
