I have just heard from Jody Nix the sad word that Cindy Walker passed away last night. I will be doing in my "Father's & Son's" grouping both Hank Thompson & Mike Siler doing her "Bubbles In My Beer" and lots more next week. She was such a lovely lady and a truly GREAT song writer.

Mike
Thank you for another great show. Sorry to learn of Cindy Walker's passing. Seems like we are losing many of our great artists and that hurts. Take care Cowboy. edited to add

Thanks so very much Don, Jack and Jody for the bump I really appreciate it very much. I wish that I had something on the show by you all this week but I have two themes. Lots of Cindy Walker compositions and also lots of big bands standards by the Western Swing and steel favorites of yesterday and today. The late and great Noel Boggs will be in my "Steel Guitarist Spotlight" set. It all goes from 1:00- 4:00 PM (eastern) and can be heard world wide from my web site www.swinginwest.com by clicking either the Windows Media Player or Quick Time option.
