We are a little over a month from our first jam session of the year. We will start on February 10, 2013 at the Converse American Legion Hall from 2 pm until 5 pm and later if need be. We need the players to be there early enough to set up and get in tune so we can start at 2 pm. That does not mean we will not allow players coming in late to play because we want all steel guitar players to come play and have a good time. We will have food available cooked by the American Legion along with your favorite beverages sold at the canteen and free popcorn. A "4 Sale" table will be available to sell your guitars, amps, vps, cds, etc. Please nothing that eats, drinks, smells or illegal to be sold. We will also have Dale Thomas as our featured player . Dale is a great player from Iowa and puts on a great show...last year he and our friend Roger Edgington wowed us all...Come enjoy the afternoon...Joe Rouse

The "COMMANDER" is a tough task master...he has attended every jam session we've had and is a Rock and Roll legend with us too. His singing is a crowd pleaser...jr

Man, I think I'll be in San Antonio that day for the TMEA convention. How far is the hall from the convention center? Is public transit an option? Once you get parked in a hotel lot it's just easier to leave the wheels behind.

Our band is ready to go...we have Kenny Piper, Mark Mosely, Jim Blakey, Ben Price, Nancy Kotzur and Brian Folks we are not sure of. Brian, our drummer, has a broken toe, and other problems with his left foot so we may need another drummer until he gets back ready to play. I will check with him and get back with you all. Til then, get your Sunday jam session glad rags on.....jr

I may be able to get a drummer. Let me check with my guy. He is working a lot lately so it may be tough for him. Will get back to you.
