I have decided to sell my 1977 MSA Classic XL psg. I am the only owner. I bought it direct from the factory in Dallas.
It is birdseye maple, with a BL 710 pickup on the e9th neck. The c6th neck has the factory Super Sustain pup.
It is setup Emmons style with the Jeff Newman setup on the knee levers.
This is a beautiful guitar, it is very well made. It stays in tune and sounds great.
I have hardly used it outside of my house so it is in excellent condition. It is about a 1/2" taller than stock setup.
I need to sell this guitar to purchase a single neck which is more easily transported.
I can send more pictures to interested parties. $2000 plus shipping.

Absolutely beautiful MSA and the lacquered models have amazing tone! Looks like the highly sought after Lawrence 705 on the top neck rather than a 710 in the pic which adds value to this MSA. |

Yes David it is a Lawrence 705. I still have the package it came in and it said 705. Thanks for pointing that out. _________________ Emmons PP D10 8X5, GFI Ultra D10,both are setup up "Emmons" style. Quilter 202 Tone Block, Nashville 400, Milkman 85, Stewart PA200, BW and JBL speakers, Profex II

Hi Garry, this is a beautiful guitar. I'm curious as to the serial number if you don't mind telling me. Also yay on the added height! _________________ If something I wrote can be interpreted two ways, and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, I meant the other one.

I don't want to speak for Maurice but having been around and playing at the time these MSA guitars were in production. I believe one of MSAs main focal points was to build a quality guitar in sound, workmanship and durability.
The fact that this guitar is still in the shape that it's in is a testament to just how good a product it was from the standpoint of workmanship.
I can say without hesitation it stays in tune, there is no slop in the pedals or knee levers and the guitar doesn't move around when you depress pedals or knees. Everybody I know who owned one of these had the same experience.
I think I may have just talked myself out of selling it ) _________________ Emmons PP D10 8X5, GFI Ultra D10,both are setup up "Emmons" style. Quilter 202 Tone Block, Nashville 400, Milkman 85, Stewart PA200, BW and JBL speakers, Profex II
