I want to thank Jody Cameron and Jack Matthews for a great performance yesterday at the Tyler Public Library. These are two wonderful performers that did a marvelous job to an appreciative packed house. I, also, want to thank Paul Polish for playing drums and bass for the first and second set respectively. What a musician and friend! Thanks Paul for helping yesterday.

ETSGA had election of officers yesterday, and Mr. Charles Tilley graciously accepted the position as President, and Mr. Glenn Privitt accepted the Vice President position. Mr. Bob White was re-elected Secretary-Treasure. Even though I do not hold an office anymore, I will still be very active and supportive of the ETSGA orginization.

If you are a steel player, and within driving distance of Tyler, Texas, and would like to be a guest artist on one of our monthly shows, please contact Charles Tilley or Glenn Privitt or myself. Go to www.etsga.org for a list of members and e-mail addresses and brouse through our Web site. Again, thanks to everyone. REMEMBER IT'S NOT A CRIME TO STEEL, BUT IT'S A CRYING SHAME IF YOU DON'T.

For those of you that don't know, this is one of the best, if not the best steel guitar club in Texas. If you have a chance to attend one of these meetings, you owe it to yourself to do so. The people are wonderful and the backup band is always top-notch. I had to leave early, but really enjoyed Jack Matthews' set. I had a great time Sunday. Thanks to Mr. Copeland, Mr. Tilley, and all the others who were in attendance for asking me to play.

Thanks W.J. and Mr. Tilly for setting up such a great show. And a huge thanks to the guys who played. The part I heard was just incredible. Wish I could have stayed for the whole show. Maybe next time.

Well I gotta add my 2 cents in here. There is no question about the quality of players we have perform for us and yesterday was just one example of the finest. These players drive for hours to support us with their talent and we love them for that. They do this out of love for the instrument and the friends they have in the Tyler association. No compensation is required.
Our thanks go out to ALL the players that have visited us. Next month, we have scheduled Albert Talley and Mark Giles so get ready for some foot stompin' western swing at its best.

See you there April 23rd.
