I would like to hook up a couple of strymon stereo modulation effects (plus reverb and delay) but not have it run through the parallel effects loop. Can i put them after the stereo outputs of the rev. and before my stereo inputs of the power amp?

thanks
Cory

no reason why that would not work.

Give it a try and report back. I have a buddy of mine doing the same thing with a Telonics PreAmp and a Wet reverb pedal and El Capistan Delay unit.

works like a charm.

Happy New Year

You can run an effects unit after the Rev preamp.

John Hughey did that with his Lexicon MPX.

Should work. Maybe try it first without the effects pedals and see if the output signal is the same strength with? Also, I am not familier with the Styman effects but understand they are very nice as Brad has commented positively on these units. I don't know if they are true bypass or not but that does not make a difference once the effect is on.

Also, I use this setup on one of my Rev preamps. I go from guitar to VP then the an RV-5 & DD-3 and then to the return input of the Rev. Nice easy setup and sound and another way play if you use mono. I have one Rev on a rolling food cart out of a rack and experiment with different stuff without banging my fingers or bending over.

Happy New Year,

Lenny

You could do that but...
I run a Revelation to Lexicon effects rack in stereo but I put stomp boxs in the front mono loop mainly Earth drive and BoBro before the Volume pedal.
Stereo is very cool for the guy playing but is largely lost to the audience.
Seems like a hassle to connect stomp boxes inside a rack.
Just easier to connect at a gig.
One of the nice things about a Revlation.. rear stereo effects loop with control and front loop for volume pedal fuzz etc.
Or make a bus panel to plug stuff in and out with one more space.
