Just wanted to take a few minutes and introduce myself. My name is Dan Ward. I played pedal steel in a band many years ago, for about 2 years. I've been stuck on drums for many years, although I'm a guitar player. The only time I have played guitar or steel is in my studio, for others or myself. My band has made several records through the years, and that was alot of fun. We also played out most weekends. About 3 years ago I quit the band because it just got to be too much for me as I have a day job as well. Playing drums all those years also took it's toll on my hearing as well. I've been doing some music in my studio as of lately and that is enjoyable to me. I write and arrange songs. I unpacked my old msa sidekick and started adding pedal steel to some of my songs. I've decided to spend the rest of my years on pedal steel and guitar. Mainly pedal steel. I just enjoy playing that instrument. So much so that I had Gary Rittenberry build me a new one. That's another story to tell. Anyway, hello to all! Maybe in a few days I can post a picture of my new steel. This is a brand new model for Gary. Regards. Dan |
