Anyone shed some light on how to remove the chassis on a Basic 50?
Thanks in advance.

If it resembles the pics I'm looking at, the two metal 'straps' on top have two screws apiece---the strap is only there to hold these screws. These screws hold the chassis. Remove screws and the chassis should slide out the rear (after you have removed any rear panels that may block you in.)

That is what I surmised Jon. I'm wiggling as aggressively as I dare and not seeing much movement.

Thanks

edit: top corner brackets also removed.

Does the front panel go with the chassis or stay with the cabinet? It's a closed back so I can't really see what is going on.

I've found sometimes they can stick VERY aggressively to the Tolex. On my 500, I had to reinsert the screws and tap down with a lightweight hammer to free the adhesion (Probably not recommended, but i couldn't find purchase for a prybar).
Wiggling accomplished nuffink.
