What does "pre-RP" mean in reference to a Mullen guitar?

It was made before the Royal Precision.
I don't think they used a model name before then. Since they use them now, it seems easier to call it Pre-RP instead of "no name."

Steven,
Lane is essentially right on. Cool If you want to get technical about it, check in with e-mail or PM to Mickey Adams, frequent poster here on the Forum; he is looked upon as the resident guru, technician, restorer of Mullen guitars, knows everthing thing you need to know about them. ...

The market seems to think so, as Pre-RP seems to fetch a price above the RP and almost up there with the G2.
I've not sat behind many, but I've not seen a bad Mullen

Hi Steve. I am the proud owner of a Royal. I have sat behind the G2 as well when Del first brought them to the Dallas show I attended. The G2 is a great guitar and they play very well. I am going to stick with my Royal because Del did such a great job when he built it. I have to agree with Lane when he said he's not seen a bad Mullen. Neither have I. They are all great guitars.
