Hi Everybody:

I have a lap steel student traveling with her husband to Hawaii in late January, and she's interested in getting a lesson or two while she's there. She'll be on Oahu and then on Maui for a total of two weeks (not bad).

Mostly working on easier tunes in open A Major tuning, but she's progressing very quickly, she's gotten very proficient with her blocking, single notes, and now is working with slants; any suggestions or recommendations would be very much appreciated.

Aloha!

Not sure if it would be a help or detriment to her playing but I'd be glad to get together and share what I've learned so far about steel guitar.
I do offer surfing lessons, provided the person can swim.

Hi Jeff:

Thanks for the reply and the offer. I'll be in touch with you about contacting each other, she'll be thrilled.

Other teachers and ideas are still welcome, too.

Best,
LC
