I just ordered 3 pull rods from Mullen for my PRP S12 (E9 Ext). I noticed that they do not include the nylon bushings in the bell crank hole that my originals have. Obviously I'm going to want to lubricate this point. Have you guys had problems with this becoming worn down over time? I'm hoping that these last a while at $25 bucks a pop.
I haven't installed them yet, I sure hope they fit on the guitar ok! |

Please keep in mind the guitar you have is over 30 years old. The parts you got are the replacement parts available. The design without the nylon bushing came out around the end of the 80's. They have been used in all model guitars since then.
To add further, we have taken great time in our design processes, and you do not need to oil this point. It is designed to be a self lubricating part to some extend with the different materials and plating used. Oil or not they will last another 30+ years. Now don't get me mistaken in saying that they cannot wear, because they can, but rarely ever to severe as to cause a problem. _________________ Mike Mantey

Great, thanks for the swift reply. I really like the guitar(built in '89) and it functions perfectly. I'm excited to get the E levers and G lower working on the lower strings. |
