Just heard this on sound cloud
https://soundcloud.com/drazjan/south-sea-melodians-tickling
some pretty slick n soulful pikin goin on there, very Benny Rogers, presuming its George de Fretas can anyone confirm that ? damn tricky tune, ticking the strings, almost as mad as 12th st rag ! don't think I could ever mange that, beyond a lifetimes work !!

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you recommend me other track, CD, LP... of this kind of crazy hawaiian swing? Can we find some recording of Benny Rogers?

J-S, You can download a ton of Benny Rogers' recordings here:

I'm a great fan of Benny, but I cannot say the George de Fretes style is all that reminiscent to me. Although George is playing electric, his style reminds me more of Sol K. Bright's tricone work on Malihini Mele. I'll try to upload it to SoundCloud.
