Sorry, this should have went in the music section of the forum, bOb maybe you can make that happen.

For me, it is definitely Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton's Christmas, with Conway Twitty coming in a close second. Although not classified as country I do like Elvis' Christmas music too.
What Country Christmas music do you like to listen to at Christmas?

Christmas with Buck Owens and his Buckaroos. Mr. Tom Brumley and Don Rich. Does it get any better?

Merry Christmas to all and God Bless!

Much to my wife's dismay, I pull this one out every year and play it a few times.

I wouldn't spend a Christmas without "CHRISTMAS IN HAWAII" with Jerry Byrd's steel guitar.

From the time I was 4 years old('65) EVERY single Friday morning, after Thanksgiving, my mom would wake me up by playing Christmas with Buck Owens and His Buckaroos. Then in 1968 she got "Christmas Shopping With Buck Owens and His Buckaroos".

Every year, from Thanksgiving till New Years eve, those two records played just about all day in the home I grew up in. I just spent this past Thanksgiving, at my moms house, and guess what music started playing a 7am Friday?

When I was about 11 years old my dad took me to my first concert and it was Buck Owens and His Buckaroos (with Don Rich). It was at Magic Mountain, sometime around winter of '72, and they did some of the songs from those two albums.

My dad just passed away the past spring, so I would have to say from a sentimental aspect I have to go with the two Buck Owens and His Buckaroos' Christmas albums. The second reason I have to go with those two albums is the they are two of the best "Country" Christmas records EVER!!!

Clinton Gregory's Christmas in Virginia with Buddy Emmons. Something magic and beautiful was created there, with Clinton's made for country voice and Buddy's enchanting steel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGr0ihI_HfE

My all-time favorite is Jim Reeves' Twelve Songs of Christmas CD. ..with Jim's beautifully rich voice and the timeless musical arrangements.

For me, it's Christmas In Nashville-various artists-my friend Judy Rodman is on there singing "Oh Little Town Of Bethlehem", which features a great steel solo and Tommy White plays steel on every song-he plays dobro on "Hark The Herald Angels Sing" and "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear". There's also a beautiful arrangement of "Away In A Manger" on there, featuring a singer named Regina Leigh and there's great steel in it-a great steel solo by Tommy White after the first verse. And, I've also got a cd called "Seven Gates" that features steel guitarist Ben Keith playing some great Christmas songs on steel. I also listen to Brad Paisley's version of "Away In A Manger", which features Brad's fiddle player Justin Williamson playin' a great fiddle intro and Randle Currie plays great steel in the song-he played his MSA on that record.

I don't know about 'favourite', but one record that sticks in my mind is one called 'Country Christmas'. It was recoded under the Arc record label in the 1960s (a Canadian record label that featured lesser known artists).

The songs that really stood out were 'Frosty the Snowman' and 'Good King Wenceslas', and the PSG was prominent in both of them. The steel sounded real bright and twangy in some places and horn-like in others. At first I thought it might have been a Sho-Bud, but after hearing what the old Fender PSGs sound like I'm guessing that it could have been a Fender. I think a Fender PSG would have been easier to get in Canada back in those days.

Sorry to go slightly off topic but I'm trying to find a copy of Craig Morgan's Christmas song, "The Kid in Me". It was a Christmas single that launched his career but was never on any album. I heard it on the radio in Nashville back in 2000 and loved it. I've checked everywhere online, Spotify, Itunes, Amazon, torrents, file sharing programs.. nada..if anyone has a copy of this track and could share it I would be very grateful. Thanks so much.

Hi Brent
Not that it matters but if you are talking about Brads Christmas CD Randle said he used his Franklin and a Nashville 400.
