I've played a couple of them before. You get what you pay for. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

I owned a round neck with the spider bridge and humbucker in the neck. The lip the cone sits on was a mess and I used wood putty to make it somewhat smooth and level. I redid the pots and got it to be okay. I bought it as a b stock and got my money back when I sold it. Prepare to do some work on it.
I would be interested in the biscuit bridge model with the humbucker. I think the square necks would be okay.
I agree with Brad- you get what you pay for. If you don't like to work on guitars, pay a bit more for one ready to go.
However, my SX Valencia nylon string guitar is amazing in sound and workmanship. Bone nut and saddle, solid top and a great case.
I currently own 4 SX guitars and have bought over a dozen guitars from Rondo. |

Hi
I didn't think they would be great. But like Dave said I have heard good things about some of the solid body models.

I own the same model, and I'm happy with the way it sounds and plays - but then, I never played a really expensive before, and I just "dabble" in dobro playing a bit, on a few songs, it's not my main instrument - and the SX is definitely good enough for that...
I compared it to a cheap Fender-branded dobro, and preferred the sound of the SX; and it seems to be really close (identical?) to the current version of the Epiphone Hound Dog. |
