A friend of mine called me last night and asked me if I would go to a jam in Longview Tx.to help promote his new cd,country of course. So I loaded the whole lot and headed over there.I mean two amps, dobro, pedal steel, six string effects and all. When I got there no musicians had got there so I just set my stuff on the stage till someone showed up.Well when the show got ready to go only young rockers showed up.Most of them had never even seen a pedal steel. My friend hasn't got there yet.I've been playin strings nearly my whole life. Not the pedal steel tho. What was funny about it was they were trying to help me with the chords.Well a few min. of that I broke out with purple haze. I got offered three different jobs that night. It was wonderful tonight. What would be yalls most awkward gig?
