For all of his great fans, I thought you might want to know about Curtis and his recent surgery. He had a triple bypass and a mitral valve repair. He was planning to be at our 4th West Texas Steel GUitar Association Meeting, as usual. I talked to his son Shane, 2 days ago. He said he is still in ICU, but is slowly improving. Keep Curtis in your prayers, and maybe he'll be back for Dallas, and then for our major show in June in Abilene. I'm sure concerned about him! He started me out in the C & W business years ago, and I'll never forget him, and his influence. What a great Singer!
Thought everyone would want to know in the Steel Guitar World.

Larry, please tell Curtis that I had a mitral valve repair 4 years ago and I am doing fine. I think it always helps to hear from someone that has been there and is doing well. We will put him on our "One Way Flight" prayer list.

Curtis-I met you in Tulsa, and became an instant fan! I don't know if you recomember me or not, but you had two CD's for sale, and I had one, so I bought one of yours, and swapped you for the other.I just want you to know, you are uppermost in my thoughts and my sincerest wishes for a speedy recovery! See you in Dallas in March, and Tulsa, at the end of May!
Get well QUICKLY!!!

Curtis,
The best for a quick recovery for both you and Pat. You are one of the most popular and most played artists on "Swingin' West" and always will be. I play everything by you from back in the Brazos Valley Boys days forward. The listeners love it.
Get well soon!
