Favorite Strings for Acoustic Playing

Friends,

I have been playing a lot of Hawaiian tunes on an acoustic flattop parlor guitar in A Major (low bass) tuning. Does anyone have a recommendation or favorite string gauge set-up for this tuning. I have experimented a bit and followed the usual recommendations but wondered if anyone has a set-up that they are particularly happy with. The scale length is 24".
