While my amp is down a friend loaned me one of his Webb amps. I never used any effects other than reverb that was on the amp. What a clean and clear sound these amps have. My problem now is that I want one as well. I used the Tommy White settings and did not vary from them. I will say I am highly impressed with Webb amps, they are exactly what everyone says they are, great.

Thanks Pete for the kind words. I use a Nashville 112 amp. It will have a pot replaced this week due to it popping. I use a DD6 delay along with a digital reverb and the Steel Guitar Blackbox built by Brad Sarno. I leave the reverb off that is on the amp. I also just had the 705 pickups installed in the Emmons in the last month and they sure made a big difference in tone and clarity. The Webb amps are great but very pricy.

You're right, they are pricey but... you get what you pay for in many instances and in the case of the Webb, it's true. They are about the cleanest I've ever used. I have to admit however that I recently aquired a Telonics PRE-1000 and with the right cabinets, it's running neck-n-neck with the Webb. Very clean and punchy.
