I want to thank all the Steel players that came to the Steel Jam. It was a great time and we made the Coats Senior center made more money than they would have made if they had rented us the hall.I have decided that this is the last one I will be running until we move to Florida.I also want to thank Ray Cross,Wild Bill, and Ira for helping out as the band and they did Fine.

Thanks to Sam and Anna for all your hard work putting this jam together. Also to the wonderful band and all the people helping with the food. Everything was very nice and me and my wife had a wonderful time. Nice seeing friends of the steel guitar and hearing the sound of a wonderful instrument. Some great players and some great friends. Nice family day with my wife, dad and brother as well. Nothing like family being involved! Thanks to all again for a great day!! Look forward to seeing you all when we get together next time!! |

Sam, Good job. The Senior Citizen hall was way more than adequate. Lots of room, good food, and pleasant servers of the food. Small turnout, but when you have more than one steel, there will be a good time! _________________ Past Secretary/President, MASGA

Once again thank you everyone that came. Jim Underwood I'm glad you enjoyed it and it was a great place to have the Jam.I also want to thank you for the CD with Ray Walker playing and singing on it. I just sat here and played it on the CD player hooked in my Amp and head phones and I played right along with Ray in tears. I sure miss Ray he was a great Buddie to me.

sorry i've missed the last few jams, i miss hanging out with the gang - it seems that something is always going on those dates - this last weekend was my High School reunion.
Sam, i appreciate all the work you did setting these up - i progressed so much as a player from meeting and hanging around you guys. Are you just going down to FL for the winter, or is this a permanent move? _________________ '65 Sho-Bud D-10 Permanent • '54 Fender Dual-8 • Clinesmith T-8 • '38 Ric Bakelite • '92 Emmons D-10 Legrande II |

Hi Jerome no we are going to Fl.to live permanent. I will more that likely get them going down there also.MAYBE ?????? I was kind of disappointed in this last one here out of 17 Steel players I ended up with 5 plus myself. The band that was going to be there was not able to come so we had three friends of mine get up and play flat top Guitars and another friend went home and got his PA system and played bass so it all worked out. I asked if any of the steel players want to keep it going and no one wanted to.The senior center was a real nice big very clean place and people even got up and danced that is how big this place is and I was glad that they took in a little over $300.00.I was happy with that.It did not cost us any thing for the hall.
