Tonight is opening night for Marty Haggard's tribute to his Dad, Merle at the Paramount Theatre in Old Town, Casa Grande, AZ. We have been in rehearsals for the past several days, and tonight is opening night. I am playing steel/dobro parts, Denny Sarver is the bassist, Mark Yeary on keys, John Barnett on drums, Levi Mullen on lead and of course the fabulous Marty Haggard. This show will run weekends until the end of April, 2013 with a couple of weeks off for Christmas. Shows are Fridays at 7:00pm, Saturdays at 2:00 and 7:00pm, and Sundays at 2:00pm.
If you are in the area, and want to enjoy some real Merle Haggard music from Merle's son, check out the website.... www.martyhaggard.com or call (520)836-1030. If you can be at any of the performances, come up and say hello!!

Well, that looks about a days drive from So. Cal. I'll have to talk she who must be obeyed and see if we can't get out there between now and April.

Glad to hear the show is up and going again!! I too wish we were closer! Marty & Tessa are good friends of ours and just great people. We were able to catch the show in Branson a couple of times...awesome!

Marty did some gospel shows on some Thursday nights last summer....hopefully he will be able to continue those as well.

Enjoy your time playing with Marty...I know it will be a blast!!
