I found this LP called "Reminton Rides Again" It's on Hilltop Records (LS 6020), but other than that, there's hardly any info at all. Can anyone please help.

Yes - I mispelled his name. Not once but twice - shame on me. I am aware of who Mr. Remington is - I'm more interested in knowing something about this LP. When and where it was recorded, who produced it, who are the pickers, and who wrote the songs.

Ah...my mistake then. I thought Herb had passed. My apologies to Mr. Remington.

Herb lives in Houston, Texas and is still very active in playing, building and teaching the steel guitar.
I spoke to him a few weeks ago and, at age 86 or 87, He is doing about as well as we could expect.
I think the record album that you mentioned of Herb's, has a song titled "The Pookie". I asked Herb about that song. He wrote the song years ago and named it for his pet dog.
Herb is a wonderful guy. I bought one of his guitars several years ago and it is one of my most prized posessions. I took it out a while back and carried it over to the home of another steel player, Barney Miller. He was amazed at the quality and sound of the 8 string non pedal steel and couldn't stop talking about it or playing it.

I have one of the few older D10s that Herb made. It is fairly heavy but it is as close to a pedal steel sound I have ever played. Pulling the strings to give it an E9th tuning is about as easy as one could get on a none pedal steel.
