Listened to one of the faster pickers on youtube this morning. Playing a roll of sorts...
Way to fast for my old mind, so I degressed to this little exercise...
Thought you might like it. Doesn't sound like much until the speed starts coming up. Enjoy...

Oh, try it here a few times, then with no pedals a few times, then back a couple of frets...
Actually try it with all kinds of pedal/lever/string combinations. See if you can find something
and somewhere it sounds good to you.

if i may Dick pick the last note ( 10B ) w: index finger rather than middle
that way you stay in place
( unless you've got a specific need for middle on the upcoming suite )
like Toot Sweet ? Winking

Right Crowbear, it plays just fine your way. For me though, it means I have to "recock" my first finger, which works fine playing it slower. Also, as my speed comes up my way plays easier for me. I've added your picking preference along with another. See what you think of that one.

Not sure 10am qualifies as early morning... but thanks for sharing! I started with the 2nd fingering but eventually switched to the 1st one when I started skipping string 7 to play arpeggios.
