I'm selling an 8-string Magnatone lap steel with its original case. The pots date to the 40th week of a year ending in a 9, and I believe this guitar dates from 1959 instead of 1949. If I'm wrong, please let me know. Everything appears to be original, though I've never seen this pickup before; it's just a coil of wire held together by tape between two blocks of lucite, with magnet slugs in the middle. It has a bright, clear tone.

The body of the guitar has a good amount of wear to it, but aside from some scratches in the finish there is nothing structurally wrong with the guitar. I can see no repairs, and no need for any repairs. I suspect that the neck rest in the case has been rebuilt, but the case itself is probably original.

I'm asking $350 shipped in the US. Click here for additional photos.

Noah,
The machines and knobs might be worth almost that much to some.
