John Polk - Terrapin Guitars

John was born November 10th, 1963 and lost his battle with cancer on May 5, 2013. He is survived by his wife Mary Newell as well as many friends and family. John owned Terrapin Guitars (www.terrapinguitars.com) making custom guitar parts as well as being an inspired artist. John made many of the pickguards and fretboards for Melbert lap steels.

Sorry to hear of this.
I have a custom Pickguard from him on my Strat that was cut in a manner such that you can work-on/modify/experiment with the electronics without having to remove the entire picguard.
He was one month older than me (I was born on 12/10/63).
