...I happened onto it and I can't stop playing it over and over. It's an old one that I remember vaguely but Sammy Kershaw just nails it to the wall here. And Paul Franklin's steel, while not front and center just seems to hit the mark so well. The phrasing, the tone, everything. Hope someone else will enjoy it as much as me.

I agree Sammy really made this one his own. The video was recorded at the George Jones And Friends 50th Anniversary Tribute Concert in 2007.

No Michael, but it is from a night honoring George Jones, most likely filmed in Nashville. I located performances from several stars taken from the same event. Here's one from Vince Gill where Paul gets a lot more exposure. Also beautifully done although I prefer the Sammy Kershaw song choice.

Even Though I'm not Familiar With Sammy's Singing Style, I Enjoyed His Performance Very Much. Cool

Since When Does A Piano Sound Like A PSG? Whoa!

Smile Yes, I noticed that too. Unfortunate that the production team was not of the same caliber as the musicians. You see that sort of carelessness much too often and it's clearly the result of someone being asleep at the switch because those camera shots are not random, they're all mapped out. The boys in the band sure held up their end though.
