Double bound Tobacco Sunburst 1962 Telecaster Custom Reissue c. 1986 made in Japan. Good condition with a couple of small dings here and there. Basswood body, rosewood board (modded with a 22nd fret for that extra high D) on maple neck.
Body has been routed for humbuckers in both the bridge and neck position and there is a rout for a middle position single coil. Great guitar to use for experimenting with different pickups. Currently has a George Lynch Screamin' Demon humbucker in the bridge (which sounds nothing like what it's name implies, actually pretty clear an twangy for a 'bucker, works great in the Tele) and a standar Tele neck pickup that is marked Thinline 6.9k in pink marker, so I assume it came from a Thinline, probably reissue, and has an output of 6.9k. Fat, warm and clear sounding tele neck pickup, not too weak and mushy as many tend to be. Balances beautifully with the humbucker in the bridge. Bridge plate has been changed to one that fits the humbucker, bridge saddles are a mix of steel for more snap on the low strings and graphite for a smoother highs on the high strings.
Oversize strap buttons and Fender F-logo, Sperzel Style locking tuners. Tuners work great, but the screw holes from the original tuners are faintly visible behind the new tuners.
Plays great, gigged with no issues. Fresh strings and pro set up around Sept. 10. Not gigged since.
$450 plus actual ship/ins from zip 70005

Well,..... hmmmmmm.............
I didn't mean to insult you in any manner whatsoever, not even ruffle any feathers, .....and really can't figure out what insulted you.
But maybe to calm the waters you might want to ask the SGF readers here what they think a fair value range for your guitar is and why. And notice that I didn't post my offer publicly.
----------
I will certainly make note to never contact you again, but down the road if I don't remember your name from the couple thousand SGF Members, and I mistakenly send you a message about something; Then it's pretty simple to just ignore it. |
