Hi everyone,

I have recently acquired a Sierra twin neck/9pedal steel guitar from a fellow in Butte,MT. The gentlemen only wanted the tuners off of it. He has since misplaced them and now I'm in need of 20 tuners to make it operable. I purchased 2 sets Grover pedal steel guitar tuners, but they were to big to fit. Are there different sizes of tuners, or do I need to modify the headstock (same terminology as a guitar?)to make the Grover's fit?

Thanks

Dave Martens

Your best answer will come from the Sierra experts here who can tell you exactly what you should be looking for.
This, in the meantime, gives you all the specs for various tuners:

I was courious as I used to have S/N 00015. Sold it to a guy up in WA at a cheap price and he was suppose to come back to me if he didn't like it. Instead he sold it to someone else.
Thanks for the response.

I asked my pal Tom Baker about your tuner question. Here's what he had to say:

"The Pre-Session guitars had the old full-size grovers. The Session guitars used the mini-grovers like on the lap-steels"
