It isn't Lil' Roy Wiggins so I'm saying Don Helms and that particular Gibson sound...

Now that I've mentioned him...has Lil' Roy ever been in one of these Clip of the Week puzzles ??

Sounds like Stonewall with Don Helms. Iv's never cared much for a Steel and Lead Guitar playing in unison octives together. Also, when a poor Country Boy get's stood up by his true love, why does the songwriter think he is going to be happy about it and wish her well ?

It is Stonewall and Uncle Don, of course. Don Helms played on several of the early SJ tracks, including "Smoke Along The Track".
