"One Moment in Time" was recorded by Whitney Houston as the anthem for the 1988 Summer Olympics and is an Emmy Award winning song written by Albert Hammond and John Bettis. Whitney sang it live at the main ceremony. It was a big hit worldwide. The Shadows did an instrumental version in 1989, the last track on their album "Steppin' to the Shadows".
This version was recorded with a steel guitar lead, the first and last section played with picks and the middle section with a plectrum. The steel guitar featured was the Steelocaster, A6 tuning, bridge pick-up. A Quadraverb GT with patch #12 (Sleepwalk) was used for part of the recording, as was a Boss FV-300L foot pedal. The backing was by Ian McCutcheon and Dave Prickett. Keys of A and Bb.
