Importing ASCII into Tabledit?

I have used tabledit to import ASCII files into tabledit but sometimes the files won't import.

Does anyone know exactly how an ASCII file needs to look in order to import into into tabledit successfully?

It seems to help to set the program for psg in the correct tuning but still only some ASCII files seem to import.
