A few years ago I posted this steel instrumental from You-Tube, but many times I have had to re-upload it again and again, because it would have either to much bass or to much treble on their end! Has anyone else had this problem?? Now its sounds like it did when I first played the tune.
Thanks for listening, Ronnie

HERE'S- How I got my tone back on this tune!
First of all I played this instrumental Live to the video camera. Even though the recording studio is turned on in the video,
If you look closely, you will see a black screen on the monitor. The black screen on the recording studio is in CD print-out mode for the rhythm tracks only, with out the steel. I then used two nash 400's direct to video recorder for the clip. The first one for CD rhythm tracks and another for the live steel using two cords from pre-amp out of each amp joining a Y- cord adapter going straight to the video cam recorder (you can't re-mix it). I got the sound and tone like I wanted from the amps (wanting it just a bit warm). But when up-loaded to You-Tube it was to much bass. After several re-up-loads it still had to much bass. A few years later I bought Sony HD sound software ($59.00) and installed it my computer and loaded it straight from video camera and ajusted the bass (-0.32) I know thats not much, but its now sounds like it does at home. I have re-uploaded all my clips this way. I know when re-uploading the same clip to you-tube the click or hit numbers will start all over again. But thats ok! I just want the sound and tone to be the way I played it here. I hope this helps every one else..... Thanks again for listening to it.. Ronnie

Ron what great tone. Never heard any Emmons sound better than that. Nice to see you in Denver in July. Hope you can come back next year.

Hi, Ron. As always, you sound fantastic, absolutely first class and it's always a true delight and an enriching and inspiring experience to listen to you play.
To answer your question, yes, I've experienced that myself; aside from finding a little too much low end at times after uploading a video to YouTube, I've also had the unpleasant discovery of finding my reverb, delay or other effects sounding over-saturated or "too much" ... completely unlike the sound of the original video. I'm not sure exactly what goes on to cause that, but I've not uploaded any videos myself in quite awhile because of it. _________________ 1986 Mullen D-10 with 8 & 7 (Dual Bill Lawrence 705 pickups each neck)
