I've recently purchased my first steel guitar. I'll post some photos later, but I believe (based on SGF posts) that it is an English Electronics (by National/Supro/Valco). It's a D8. I haven't measured the scale yet, or determined what guage strings are currently on it. I've been using a Tascam GT CD trainer to listen to it with headphones and also tune it. The Tascam tuner diplays a number next to the note as it is being played. (A2, C3, E3, etc). Does the number represent where the note would be on a keyboard? I would like to tune one of the necks to C6th (high to low) G, E, C, A, G, E, C, A.
Will the lowest A be labled A1? Thanks for your help,
John
