Does anyone out there use or have tried Cobra Coil Pedal Steel guitar strings? What do you like or dislike about these strings? Thanks, Lonny

I've used CCs for years and never had any problems at all. They last a long time and retain their crispness. I did try a couple different brands, but they weren't any better, so I went back to the tried and true CCs.

I like them. To my ears, they sound a little more "crisper" (brighter?) than nickle-wound strings, but not quite as "crisp" as stainless-wound strings.

Great strings and they last and last. I agree they are in between the 2 other alternatives. Cool

I really like them I have tried numerous others and I really liked George L but have since went with cobra coil in my opinion they sound better longer and lasted a little bit longer on my guitar.

I've been using Cobras for a couple of years and I've only had one break, and was one of the larger strings--nothin's perfect. But they stay good for ever and sound great. I recently tried a set of Live Strings and they sounded great too, but without a direct A-B comparison it's hard to tell the difference except that the Cobras seemed to have a little more sustain up in the high registers. But that could easily be my imagination.
