Thought I'd mention my long-time band Mountain Smoke will be playing a show in the Longhorn Room at Gilley's in Dallas Saturday, Sept. 29th. We'll play two sets, and will start at 8:00. There's no admission charge, so if you're not busy come see us. I will be attempting to play some Pedal Steel and a little Reso.
We are coming up on 40 years as a band, and there is one original (founding) member from 1973, two of us from the 1976 era, one that started in 1980, and a couple of 3 year newcomers. We play a lot of original stuff, a few covers, mostly Newgrass style.
