I have just heard that Loretta Lynn will be at the state fair in Jackson, MS, in Oct. Will she have a steel player and if so who? Thanks. Bill

Charlie Archer plays steel for Loretta. At one time, he was Conway Twitty's lead guitarist.

I met Charlie a couple of years ago at Indian Ranch in Webster, Mass. My band played on the Corral Stage and Charlie came over to hear us and chatted with us for a while before his show with Loretta. He's a friendly guy and a smooth player!
