Uncredited steel player on this track?

This is a song from a 90s alternative rock band. It was one of the first songs where pedal steel really caught my attention. I'm learning how to play steel now and, out of curiosity, tried to find out who played on this track. It's entirely uncredited and a google search pulled up an interview where a band member says he forgot the name.

The pedal steel on this track in countrier than country.

I dunno, but it reminds me of some of the stuff I listened to back in the 70's that helped steer me toward pedal steel.

Wikipedia has some info on the band, Live and the album but no mention of pedal steel. No help from allmusic.com either. I would guess probably a guest artist for the album....no idea who.
