I wish I could keep this one . 53' Console Grande in excellent condition. The pickups sound wonderful and have that classic old timey country sound. The tone and volume controls are quiet and work perfectly. The finish has the usual checking for a guitar of this age and a few bar dings between the necks but the binding is intact and in perfect shape. The case is in excellent shape and locks up nice and tight. I had to wrap a little tape around the tips of two legs to get them to tighten up better but once tightened they feel solid. I'd like to get $1400 and split the shipping.

Larry and I both wish we could afford to adopt it and give it a new California home! Want to do joint custody, Larry? _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION

John, do you mean like time share? You would have to pry my hands off of it. Now if you could be left handed, we could play one neck each, in harmony..... |

I used to have what looks to be this exact same guitar. I sold it through George Gruhn in Nashville in 2001ish. I wonder if it's the same one...
Very nice. |

I picked up a triple neck version of the 50's Console Grande in Australia, whilst on tour there around 80/81. I had called into a music store in Sydney to pick up some spare strings, and happened to spot a couple of guitar legs sticking out from a pile of old boxes they were clearing out. I took a peek which revealed this beautiful triple deck CG! I asked the young assistant what was happening to it and if they might sell it. He called his boss who said he wanted $150 AUS !! I had to think hard for about 2 seconds, and said- was that the best he could do? 'fraid so he said, so I handed over $150(AUS) for a fabulous Triple deck- Birds eye maple guitar in perfect nick! plus the same original case as in your photo, with the Gibson logo stamp!! Sold it about 6/7 yrs ago for a LOT MORE than I paid for it!!
If I hadn't called in that day I'm pretty sure they hadn't a clue what it was,( must have been a trade in) so would have binned it along with the boxes !! OUCH!! _________________ Nice ZUM 12 D9 2 Roland Cubes,+ various effects and bits. |

I have looked at this long enough. It would be silly to pass up such a beauty. I don't think they make them anymore. I pity the fool... _________________ Mullen PRP D10, accordions, Harmony Sovereign guitar. |
