Wichita Lineman

I'm working up Buddy Emmons Wichita Lineman and am not sure I've got the first verse correct. This would be the " I am a lineman for the county....". I can't tell if he's doing a unison - same note played on 2 different strings together. It just sounds a little big different in spots but not sure if it's a unison phrase or not. Same thing on the "and I drive the main road" phrase. THanks
