a few years ago there was a great video of this with Big Jim Murphy on YouTube. It seems to have been removed. I'm really jonsing to see it though - does anybody know what it was from??

The Carl Smith footage was from Del Reeves' TV show "Country Carnival" which ran from 1969 into the early 70's. Carl Smith did "Deep Water" and "She Called Me Baby" both with Big Jim Murphy featured on C-6th. There is a "Country Carnival" Vol 1 DVD for sale but doesn't contain this footage:

YouTube has clips from "Country Carnival" with Del and the "Good Time Charlie's" w/Larry Sasser - Here's Leona Williams singing "Yes Ma'am." It don't get better than this:
