This concert will be "real" country music, Honky Tonk at its best. The concert is November 18th at Cains Ballroom. The concert will feature Johnny Bush, Jake Hooker and the Outsiders (featuring Dicky Overbey on steel guitar and some vocals), and Amber Digby (Dicky's step daughter). As you know, Amber is the daughter of Dee Jee Overbey and Dennis Digby. You have heard her at the Steel Guitar Convention in Tulsa. She has been performing internationally and is doing this concert between performances in Australia and Sweden. Jake Hooker and the Outsiders are very popular on the Texas circuit. All of them have CD's available. For sure they will be for sale at the concert. The concert will be promoted by Lee's Records and Tapes and other sponsors. Tickets will be sold on www.startickets.com.

Not clear on this. Is Johnny Bush being backed by Jake Hooker and the Outsiders? Or will he be with his own band, The Bandeleros? Anyone.

Bush will be backed by Jake's band, without the Bandoleros. Too expensive to take us all up to Tulsa for one night.

Thanks Herb. I'm disappointed but I understand the economics.

I'll have the pleasure of backing up Amber this coming Monday night in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium. She will be performing at the "Christmas For Kids" concert. She's a real talent.

Someone please tell Benny Ketchum hello for me. The first job I ever worked was at Cain's with him, when I was 11. Wish I could be there with you.
