I lower 6 to a G and don't raise 7 but instead lower 7 to a F to get some interesting C6th stuff on E9th.

Hey Lavon, here's my KL set up on a S-10D Williams, I'm playing at this time. I change things around all the time whenever I come across something. LKL is lowering #6-G# to a G, LKR is lowering #2-Eb to a D and then to a C# with a half stop. RKL is raising 4 & 8 to a F, RKR is lowering 4 & 8 to a Eb. Pedals are standard Emmons except for pedal #4- which is lowering the #7-F# to a F. I use ped#4 with the RKR to get B6th & C6th phrasing depending on what the song calls for. I'm always studing set ups and the ways different players play. Everything from Jerry Byrd & Roy Wiggins to Emmons and Hughey is right there in the E9th tuning if a player knows how to use it properly and when.

I have a pedal that raises 7 and 9 a whole step and a lever drops 6.

I use the 7th string whole tone raise a lot. Here's some tabs and sound files for it:

I have managed to keep the 6th string lower using some extra floor pedals:

I lower 6 a whole tone, along with raising 1 a whole tone and 2 a halftone with my RKL. I also have the half tone lower split on the 6th string lower in combination the 6th string raise "B" pedal.

I raise the 7th string a half tone on the same knee lever (RKR) that I lower the 2nd and 9th strings.

I do what Jack does except I raise 7 a whole step. One of the other pulls on that lever acts as a sort of half stop.

These changes do not necessarily work together, I might add. It's an economical method for getting the pulls I want and knowing when and which strings to skip.
