Anna and I are very happy that we are now Honorary Members of the RISGA.Anna & I foundered RISGA back in 1997 and we ran it until September 22,2002.Since then there had been some disagreements but we buried the hatchet a while back.I want to thank Ed Cunningham for bringing this up at their Quarterly meeting Yesterday and they all voted on the subject of making Anna and I honorary Members for life and it was accepted by a majority Vote at yesterdays meeting.. WE are flatered and do not know what to say. It was a shock when I went on my E-Mail and found this from the President Marcia Rodrigues.A Huge Thank You from Anna and I and we are glad we are now menbers again. We do not know when we will be back in Rhode Island for a visit but we will try to make it where we can come to one of the meetings and I will be able to Jam with some of my good older friends. I did say Older not OLD.Three more months and I'll be 76 years old. I have not change much just more quiet and I keep busy with the 3/4 of a acre of grass and large garden and the chickens. Anna stays busy with her Art work and canning all the garden Veggies. I now have a bunch of Pumpkins and water melon's growing for this fall to sell.
Thank You Thank You Marcia and all the RISGA members that vote in favor of this honor.

Thank You Eddie for all you have done in this great news. You are the best and I hope to be able to make one of the Jam and meeting. I have two Brothers and one Sister left so I hope nothing happens to them. That will be the only way I would be able to come up there as of now.WE may take a trip up some time next year we will see how the Finances are then and Gasoline. If Gasoline is to hi we will take a train it will be a lot cheaper and we would rent a car.Thank you for what you have done and the others. We both Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank You Manny I have always had RISGA in my heart and would have still supported Risga. We always had a good bunch of guys in Risga .You always get some one that will complain no matter where you are or what you do. Everyone thinks it's a easy thing to do to run a Organization well it is not it takes a lot of work and all the Steel Players have to do is come in set up and play. Who does all the work and running around to get these Steel Guitar Jams and Shows to run smooth. There is a lot of running around to get the halls and then you have to get the people to come to the Steel Jams and shows.I think Marcia is doing a great Job and putting up with all you guys.Talk to you all later Anna and I are headed to Florida for 4 days..

Sam...growing pumpkins and watermelons?
Somehow I can't picture that...do you keep your steel guitar out in the pumpkin patch?!
Why don't you come over to St Louis this weekend instead of Florida? |

Tony no I do not play the Steel in the pumpkin patch.I want them to grow if I play it our there they won't grow as they will be afraid of the sound that comes out of the Steel Guitar that I play.We are back from Florida seen Gene and Robin Trudel and we were looking at homes down the in Port ST. Lucie. We found what we like and when we got back yesterday our Realtor here left a message that she might have our home sold.I hope we are still here so I can have the next Steel Jam October 22nd for the Boys here in N.C.Don't know if you remember Jack Palmer from Coventry R.I. he is down here and he helped my good friend Ray Walker who just pass away while back build the Steel Guitar I have now and it has great sustain on it.Guess when i move to Florida I will see about a steel Jam down there.By the Way if you voted me in a a Honorary member of RISGA I want to thank you also.
